Pedro Granchinho is a Researcher at the Ci2 ¿ Smarter Cities Research Center, Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT), where he is Professor since 2000. He has a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in Control and Robotics from the IST - Instituto Superior Técnico (1998), a master's degree from the same institute (2005) and a specialist degree in Electricity and Energy from the IPT (2011). He was the director of the Industrial Innovation Laboratory - LINE.IPT, a laboratory totally dedicated to applied research in companies, which was autonomized in TAGUSVALLEY - Tagus Valley Technology Park. What he enjoys most is solving practical cases of complex and real engineering problems in companies, bringing all his applied research experience to the subjects he teaches. He is currently the executive director of an IPT spin-off company, FLYROBOTICS, an environmental robotics project, based on biomimetics.
