Sandra Maria Gonçalves de Vilas Boas Jardim completed the PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering on 2008/09/15 from the University of Lisbon - IST, the Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering on 2002/06/03 from the University of Lisbon - IST and the Bachelor Degree in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering in 1992/07/31 from the University of Aveiro. She is President of the Technical-Scientific Council of the Higher School of Technology of Abrantes of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. She is currently Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Director of the Bachelor Degree in Informatics and Multimedia Technologies at the Higher School of Technology of Abrantes, Director of the Master's Degree in Analytics and Business Intelligence at the Higher School of Technology of Tomar and Director of the Bachelor Degree in Computation and Logistics at the Higher School of Technology of Abrantes. She is an integrated researcher at the Smart Cities Research Center and a collaborator researcher at the Computer Science and Communication Research Centre. She was part of the Organizing Committee of 5 national technical-scientific events. Participated as a researcher in 7 funded investigation projects, having been Principal Investigator in 4 of them. She has research experience in the areas of machine learning and digital image processing/computer vision.
