Diogo Chambel Lopes holds a PhD from Instituto Superior Técnico (UT Austin/Portugal), and MSc from the Imperial College of London (UK), both in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics, and a BEng(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brighton (UK). He is an Assistant Professor at Atlântica since 2019 where he teaches several courses of the undergraduate degrees in Aeronautical Engineering Sciences, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering. From 2015 to 2019 he taught several courses of the Mechanical Engineering degree at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT). Before his PhD, among other professional activities, he worked at Tecnilab Portugal, in the area of the control valves and water distribution networks and completed an internship at the European Space Agency (Darmstadt, Germany). During his PhD he co-authored three international scientific papers and four conference papers.
