About

Filipe Alexandre Guido Bandeiras completed his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Control and Industrial Electronics in 2017/12 from the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT). Since then, he has developed extensive research work as a research fellow in a Research Grant for Graduates (BI-L) for 2 years and in a Research Grant for Masters (BI-M) for 10 months (from 2016/10 to 2019/08), within the scope of an international R&D project "INDuGRID - Efficient energy management in industrial microgrids with high penetration of PV technology". In 2020, he has been granted a PhD Studentship (BD) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Coimbra (UC), supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). During his research work as a research fellow and collaborator at Smart Cities Research Center (Ci2) and at Institute for Systems Engineering and Computers at Coimbra (INESC Coimbra), he has published 7 articles in specialized peer-review journals, presented 7 articles in international conferences, and worked on 6 book chapters and several technical reports. His main research interests focus on smart grids and microgrid systems, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, energy trading markets, and sustainable and smart cities.
