About

Marco António Mourão Cartaxo completed his PhD in Chemistry in 2012 from the University of Lisbon, holds a masters degree in Applied Electrochemistry - Electroanalysis branch in 2001 from the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Sciences and a Degree in Chemistry in 1997 from the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Sciences. He is an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar and is a member of the Smart Cities Research Center (Ci2) of the Polytechnic University of Tomar. He works in the area(s) of Exact Sciences with an emphasis on Chemistry, namely on Electrochemistry, developing research work in the fields of wastewater treatment, waste valorization, circular economy, sustainability, and green hydrogen.
